Samsung Galaxy Note9: Indepth


Samsung had globally launched the Galaxy Note9 on 9th August 2018. Samsung Galaxy Note series is known for its Phablet line of smartphones. Let's know more about it.
Unboxing:- Opening up the box you find Sim ejector pin, User manual,Smartphone, Warranty information, Case, Fast charging adapter, USB Type C cable, AKG earphones, USB Otg adapter, Replaceable earbuds and Replaceable tips for SPen.
Physical Overview:- USB Type C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Primary microphone, Speaker and SPen are placed at the bottom. Power button is on the right. Secondary microphone and hybrid sim tray are on top. Volume buttons and dedicated Bixby key are on left. Fingerprint scanner is on the back and is placed below Dual Cameras.
Specifications:- Samsung Galaxy Note9 comes with 6.4inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Display with resolution of 2960x1440 pixels, the screen to body ratio is 19:9.It comes with 6/8GB Ram and has two storage options 128gb or 512gb. Samsung Galaxy Note9 has Dual Rear Cameras,the first sensor is of 12MP with OIS and has dual aperture of f1.5/2.4 and the second sensor is of 12MP with OIS with f2.4 aperture. The front camera is of 8MP and has an aperture of f1.7, it can take portrait shots. It has an Iris Scanner. SPen has Bluetooth now. Samsung has also improved on Battery this time, the battery capacity on Note9 is 4000mAh. It supports wireless charging. Galaxy Note9 comes with Stereo speakers which are tuned by AKG. It is IP68 Water and Dust resistant. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 depending on your region. Both are Octa Core processors. It comes with Samsung Experience UI 9.5 which is built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
Review:- The first thing that you will notice on Note9 is its display, the display on Note9 is awesome, i would say it is one of the best displays on a smartphone, Outdoor visibility is good,you will enjoy gaming and watching videos on it. People who don't like notch will love Note9. It is a huge smartphone so single handed use is next to impossible. Built quality of Galaxy Note9 is good but because of metal and glass built it is a fingerprint magnet so using a case or a skin will be a good idea. It comes with Gorilla Glass protection, its Infinity display feels great no doubt there. Buttons are tactile and give good feedback. Fingerprint scanner's position is good.Face unlock works well.The overall performance of Galaxy Note9 is very snappy,gaming performance is good as well but phone gets a bit warm while gaming or while using GPS for long,It doesn't overheat. The camera performance is good and is similar to Galaxy S9+, the camera has some AI features. Battery backup is good but not great. Now you can do many new things with SPen like clicking images, playing or pausing YouTube videos, Songs and Samsung is working on making it compatible with many apps. The SPen charges in 40 seconds after which you can use it for 30min. SPen can be programed to launch camera, apps and much more The Ocean Blue variant of the Note9 has a bright yellow SPen which looks good.
