What is Android One?
In simple words in Android One there are smartphone vendors who work closely with Google to provide a good Android smartphone to consumers. The Hardware and Software is monitored by Google itself. Android One Smartphones run on stock Android interface. These Smartphones get software updates from Google.
The first generation of Android One Smartphones had very basic hardware and were almost similar specifications wise all the Smartphones came with MediaTek  Processors.Second generation of Android One smartphones had MediaTek and Snapdragon Processors. As the competition has increased in emerging markets like India.Chinese Smartphone vendors were providing good specifications in budget because of which Android One Smartphones didn't seem to work out. Over time Google made some changes to its Android One program by giving the Smartphone manufacturers freedom to choose hardware but condition was that the software should be Stock Android and now the manufacturers need to roll out the updates and they can add their specific apps in the Smartphone. In 2017 Google launched Xiaomi Mi A1 which was very famous as the hardware of Mi A1 was quite decent when compared to the competition. It had a Dual rear camera, decent battery and a good processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 because of which the overall performance was good.
