Nokia 6.1 Plus: a new Android One Smartphone


Nokia is a brand which everyone of you might remember and most probably everyone's first mobile will be of Nokia. Nokia has launched Nokia 6.1 Plus recently in India and it is the same mobile which was launched two months ago in China with the name Nokia X6. Let us know more about Nokia 6.1 Plus.

Physical Overview:- On the front you will find 5.8inch Full HD+ display, under the display you will see Nokia branding and above the display is a small notch which has an earpiece, front facing camera and sensors. On the top three is 3.5mm headphone jack and a secondary mic. Primary mic and Speaker are on the bottom with USB Type C port. To the right you will find Power and Volume buttons. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Built:- Nokia 6.1 Plus has a metal and glass built. The back of the Phone is entirely covered by glass. The glass on the front and back has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The weight of the Smartphone is 151g. Now let's have a look at its specifications.
Specifications:- Nokia 6.1 Plus is Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Octa Core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes with 4gb RAM and 64gb internal storage. It has a hybrid sim tray which means that you can insert two sims or one sim and a micro SD card. The Display comes with a resolution of FHD+ that is 2280x1080p and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and the screen to body ratio is 19:9. Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with 3060mAh Battery with support for fast charging but Nokia has not provided fast charger in the box so You have to buy it separately. It comes with Dual Rear Camera 16MP+5MP, the first sensor has aperture of f2.0 and the second sensor has aperture of f2.4. The Front Camera is of 16MP with f 2.0 aperture. The Camera has AI features. It comes with Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box and comes under Android One program so it will receive major Android Updates for 2 years and security patch updates for 3 years.
Good and Bad:- The Performance of the smartphone is good and you will be able to play games like PUBG on this Phone easily. You can record video upto 4k without EIS. It supports EIS upto 1080p. Pictures shot in daylight come out to be good but low light images have quite a bit of noise in it.There is no Face unlock which you find on mostly any smartphone with a notch these days. The viewing angles are good but there is no such option in settings to adjust the colour tone according to your liking. As back of the device is made up of glass, it catches dust and smudges easily.
