POCO F1: Updated


Xiaomi recently launched first smartphone under its sub-brand POCO, its first smartphone is POCO Phone F1. Let's have a look at what's underneath.
Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO is India specific and won't launch in China according to what Xiaomi Officials are saying. You will get Android security patch update every two months.

Design :- POCO F1 comes with Polycarbonate back and built of entire phone is plastic. The weight of Standard edition is 182g and Armoured edition weighs 187g. It has a notch on the front which has sensors earpiece. It has USB type C port, Speaker and primary mic at the bottom and 3.5mm headphone jack and secondary mic are located at the top. The Phone feels a bit thick. The thickness of standard edition is 8.8mm and Armoured edition is 8.9mm thick. The Power and volume buttons are located on the right.
Specifications :- POCO F1 comes 6.18 inch Full HD+ display with screen to body ratio of 18.7:9 and has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with AIE which is a flagship processor from Qualcomm clocked at 2.8ghz. POCO F1 comes with Liquid cooling technology. It comes with 4000mAh Battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0. It comes in two RAM variants 6gb and 8gb LPDDR4X RAM. It comes with Adreno 630 GPU clocked at 710 MHz. It comes with dual rear cameras,the first sensor is of 12MP with 1.4 micron and f1.9 aperture and the second sensor is of 5MP with 1.12 micron and f2.0 aperture. This Camera also have AI features like Portrait mode with background blurring, Dual Pixel Auto focus, Low light enhancement, HDR, Panorama mode, Burst mode, Face recognition, AI Beautify, EI for shooting videos and AI dirt detection. POCO F1 comes with 20MP front camera some of the camera features include AI Portrait mode, AI detection of 10 different scenes, Selfie timer and face recognition. POCO has done some India specific Optimizations for scenes. Videos can be recorded upto 4k @30fps. Slomo videos can be recorded at 1080p @240fps. POCO F1 has a dedicated IR sensor on the front in the notch for face unlock, it works very well and is very fast as well. The fingerprint scanner is on the back and is fast and responsive. It comes with hybrid sim tray. POCO F1 comes with MIUI9  but it has an app drawer it is currently running on Android 8.1 Oreo and an update to Android Pie will come in few months. Out of 256gb of storage the available storage is 243gb.
Conclusion :- POCO F1 is a good value for money smartphone. The performance of the smartphone is good and it won't heat up much in very heavy usage scenarios because of the liquid cooling technology. The camera performance of this smartphone is good considering the price.
