Redmi Note 7: A Smartphone with a sub-brand




While launching Redmi Note 7 in China Xiaomi confirmed that Redmi will be its sub-brand, so now smartphones under the Redmi series will come under the Redmi brand name. Redmi has Officially made its debut in China by launching the first smartphone under its brand name the name of the smartphone is 'Redmi Note 7'. Redmi Note 7 is the successor to Redmi Note 6 which is also known as Redmi note 6 pro in some markets. William Lu is appointed as the General Manager of Redmi in China.
Let's have a look at the smartphone, There are lot of design changes made to Redmi Note 7 when compared to earlier Redmi note series smartphones. The Redmi Note 7 has a glass and metal design. It has a 2.5D curved glass on the front and back along with a metal frame on the sides. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Redmi Note 7 comes with 6.3inch Full HD+ Display with a resolution of 2340x1080p and there is a waterdrop notch, the screen to body ratio is 19.5:9. it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Processor which is 14nm chip and has Kryo cores. It has Adreno 512 GPU. Redmi Note 7 has 48MP+5MP Dual Rear Cameras with aperture of f1.8 and has a 13MP front camera which is located in a dew drop notch. The 48MP camera on the rear is a Samsung Isocell GM1 sensor and the 5MP camera is for depth sensing. The Camera has different AI modes like AI scene detection, AI portrait and AI beauty mode. Redmi Note 7 houses a 4000mAh Battery. There is also support for Quick Charge 4.0. Redmi Note 7 comes with USB type C port.It comes with MIUI10 which is built on top of Android v9.0 Pie. Redmi has not skipped on 3.5mm headphone jack. Other options include IR Blaster, 4g VOLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS. There are three RAM variants 3gb, 4gb and 6gb and Two storage options 32gb and 64gb. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot.
 Redmi is offering an extended warranty of 18 months in China. There are three color options available gradient Blue,gradient Red and Black. The base variant that comes with 3gb Ram and 32gb Rom is priced at CNY 999 (approx INR 9,999), 4gb Ram and 64gb Rom variant is priced at CNY 1199 (approx INR 11,999) and 6gb Ram and 64gb Rom variant is priced at CNY 1399 (approx INR 13,999).Redmi also announced that they will launch the Pro variant of Redmi Note7 which will have different camera sensor.For more such content stay tuned and don't forget to follow us on our social media handles.
