Shakti: India's first processor

Shakti is a first processor which is built by students of IIT MADRAS, the group of students who developed it belong to the RISE group. For all those who don't know, Shakti means 'Power'. Shakti is an Open-source project. It is built on RISC-V architecture. It has three types of cores namely E class, C class and I class.
The class C cores are used to carry out processes like handling smartphone applications and IoT. The class C cores are clocked at 1.5GHz. The class I cores are performance oriented cores which could be used in Laptops and Computers. The class I cores are clocked at 2.5GHz. The two types of Class C processors have already been made among which one is made by Intel, it is a 22nm processor and the second one is made by Department of Space Government of India, it is a 180nm processor, the first one is codenamed 'RISECREEK' and the second one is codenamed 'RIMO'.

The team has plans to develop super computer grade processors. They might name it Parallel Shakti or Para Shakti . These processors could be used in ISRO's Satellites in future. It is different from other processors because it uses 'RISC-V'  (Reduced Instruction Set 5). It is an Open-source project. The creator of RISC-V have their own startup and the name of startup is 'SciFive'. Shakti uses the new architecture called 'Harvard' when compared to other processors which use older architecture called ' Von Neumann'
The biggest advantage of Shakti is its security. Because it will be entirely built in the country when compared to other processors which are imported from abroad. As it is completely being developed in India, we will get fair idea about the loopholes and other vulnerabilities because of which we will be able to fix them as soon as possible. Which will further contribute to national security. That's all for now.

Fuchsia OS: Will it replace Android?

When it comes to Laptops and Computers many people love using Windows and Mac OS on  these devices over Chrome OS. Because of this reason Google came up with the idea of Fuchsia OS.  Fuchsia OS will work on Smartphones and Computers. It will cover all devices like Computers, Laptos, Tablets, Smartphones and Televisions(maybe or may not be) . Basically Google is trying to build an Eco system of connected devices.  Fuchsia OS is a new operating system which is being developed by Google to get rid of the limitations of Android. At initial stages it will be developed for smartphones and will evolve further. Fuchsia OS is not like any other Operating system, it is a completely different OS. Fuchsia OS is not like Android and Chrome OS . It will not be based on Linux Kernel . The Home
