How to unlock Bootloader of any Xiaomi device


As we all know there are bunch of custom roms available for Xiaomi devices. There is a lot of custom rom development going on for its Note series. To install Custom Roms it is necessary to Unlock Bootloader of your Xiaomi device, In this article i have written a step to step tutorial to Unlock Bootloader of your Xiaomi device.
Step1:- Goto en.miui.com and click on Unlock, it will redirect you to Sign in page. Sign in with the same Mi Account with which you have logged in to your phone. Now you need to fill the form. You need to fill up the following details :-
Name
County
Mobile number
Reason for unlocking bootloader
You can either write that you want to be a beta tester or want to try out new miui features in Reason for unlocking bootloader or any reason of your choice. Then it will ask you to fill in  Captcha and check the box, then click on Apply now. You will get an OTP on your mobile number which you need to enter on your PC and then click Next. You will get a message that Application has been successfully submitted and it is being reviewed.
Step2:- You need to wait for Seven to Ten Days after which you will get a message stating that You've been granted the permission to unlock your device with a link to download Mi Unlock Tool. Click that link and download Mi Unlock Tool. After Mi Unlock tool has been downloaded you need to extract it as mi unlock tool will be in zip file format. After extracting Open the folder there you will find miflash_unlock.exe. Right click on it and Run as Administrator. Mi Unlock tool will open now, Agree to the terms. Now you need to Sign in to your Mi account. 

Step3:- Go to Settings in your phone and then go to About Phone now tap on MIUI version 7 times, Developer Options will enable now. Goto Additional Settings--> Developer Options-->Turn On Developer Options --> Enable OEM Unlocking --> Turn On USB Debugging. Now Remove all passwords, patterns, pin or fingerprint options that you use to unlock your device(until bootloader has been unlocked). Now Goto Mi Account in Settings and turn on find my device. Now connect your device to your Pc and enter the fastboot mode by clicking volume down and power button. Now wait until Mi Unlock Tool detects your device,as your device is detected you need to click on Unlock, within few seconds your Bootloader will be unlocked.
