It has three rear cameras the first sensor is a 40MP wide angle lens, the second sensor is 20MP ultra wide angle lens and the third sensor is an 8MP telephoto lens. The front camera is a 24MP sensor which supports 3D depth sensing. It has 6.39 inch Quad HD display which is an AMOLED panel and has a resolution of 1440x3120 which comes to about 538ppi. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has an Indisplay fingerprint scanner. It comes with 6gb Ram and 128gb internal storage which can be further expanded via memory card. The Battery capacity on Mate 20 Pro is 4200mAh it comes with TUV Safe Fast Charge technology. It accepts Dual nano sim with dual standby. It comes with EMUI 9.0. which is based on Android Pie. NFC support is there with support for fast charging and has IP68 rating.
Physical Overview and First Impressions:- It comes with a metal and glass design which feels very premium in hand despite of glass back the phone does not feel slippery at all meaning it gives you a good grip. Although it has a 6.39 inch display the phone feels quite comfortable to hold in a hand. On the top you will see a IR blaster and Secondary mic, the Volume and the Power button are located on the right, the Power button is of Red colour. Sim slot, Primary mic and USB port are on bottom. There is no speaker grill.  The speaker is placed in a USB port. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has rounded curves, It has a curved display which looks fabulous, the cameras along with led flash are placed in a square design. The Twilight Blue color looks awesome on the top you will see a blue color as you go down you will see a color change from blue to purple and at the bottom it changes to kind of black color. It has a iPhone like notch which didn't bother me much because most of the smartphones these days have a notch, now it's up to you if you like notch or not.
Review:-
Design:- Even though it has a glass and metal design the Phone does not slide out of hand don't know what sought of coating has Huawei done, the glass back of the device resist's fingerprint and smudges. Whatever I have written about the design in my first impressions part i'll stick to it. The Mate 20 Pro looks cool and I am sure it will catch a lot of eyes. Huawei has done a good weight distribution. It has an iPhone like notch which has front camera, earpiece, Led flash and IR blaster which will be used for face unlock it is the same sensor used on iPhones which makes it more secure. The screen to body ratio is 19.5:9.
Display:- 6.39 inch QHD display is an Amoled panel looks great and has a resolution of 1440x3120 which comes to about 538ppi, the colors look vibrant and the outdoor visibility under direct sunlight is excellent as well. The display curves from both the sides, I would suggest you to use a screen protector.
Camera:- The triple rear cameras perform excellent both in good lighting and low lighting conditions the AI and Portrait mode work well. The 24MP front camera's performance is good but not great. The Camera interface is not that great, Huawei needs to work on Camera software.
Battery:- The 4200mAh Battery On Mate 20 Pro is one of highest capacity battery on a smartphone and it gives a good battery backup, if you are a heavy user then it will easily last you a day and if you are a normal user then it will last you one and a half to two days. Huawei has provided a 40W fast charger which can charge Mate 20 Pro from 0% to 70% in 30 minutes, it supports wireless charging and there is a feature called Reverse Wireless Charging by which you can charge other smartphones which support wireless charging using the Mate 20 Pro. The Battery life is one among the best in flagship smartphones.
Performance:- The overall performance of the mate 20 Pro is good you won't face any stutters or lags You can even Play Graphic intensive games like Asphalt 9 and PUBG at high graphic settings without any issues and there are no overheating issues as well. The Ram management is also good. HiSilicon Kirin 980 chip on the Mate 20 Pro is faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
Software:- It runs on Huawei's own custom skin of Android, EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie and the UI is very good and snappy but because of custom skin it might get slow Android Updates.
Speakers:- The Output from the the speakers is good but not great considering that it has Dual Stereo Speakers, i guess it is because of the placement of the speaker in the USB Port.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro's Indisplay fingerprint scanner works well and the Face Unlock is very fast and secure. It is available on Amazon in India
Colours:- Twilight Blue, Black and Emerald Green.
