Nokia X7/ 8.1: Giveaway Update

It's been a while since HMD Global launched Nokia X7 in China and soon this smartphone is going to launch globally under The Android One program.
HMD Global has done a great job when it comes to Updates, they give timely Security patch updates as well as Android updates to its smartphones be it high end smartphone or low end smartphones. Now let's talk about Nokia X7 which might globally launch as Nokia 7.1 plus or maybe Nokia 8.1.
Unboxing:- The Box is standard Nokia nothing new, Opening the Box first thing you will see is the handset underneath you will find the Sim ejector tool, Quick start guide and other paperwork. You also get a transparent Silicon Case, USB Type C cable and a 18W fast charger.

Physical Overview/ Built/ Design:- The Built of the phone is quite premium, it is a glass and metal build. The X7 looks similar to most of the previous Nokia smartphones. The Back of the phone is glass and on the side is a aluminum frame, being the glass back it is prone to fingerprints and smudges so i would recommend you to use a case. Over at the front you will see a huge notch which holds earpiece, front camera and some sensors. The notch is huge and there is no sense keeping it that big, this according to me is just to replicate iPhone. On the top there's 3.5mm headphone jack and a secondary mic, Volume and Power button are on the right and Hybrid Sim tray is on the left. Nokia branding is there under the display. The Bottom of the Phone holds USB type C port, Primary mic and speakers. On the Back you will see Dual Cameras, Led flash and Fingerprint scanner. The Back of the device and edges share the same colour which adds to the looks of the device. The  glass and metal design gives it an in hand feel of a premium smartphone.

Specifications:- It comes with 6.18 FHD+ IPS LCD Panel, the brightness can go upto 500 nits which is a very good thing. It comes with Pure Display technology. The screen to body ratio is 18.7:9. It comes with hybrid sim tray meaning it will either accept two Sims or a Sim and a SD card. It comes with Qualcomms brand new Snapdragon 710 processor which is a first non flagship processor by Qualcomm to be built on 10nm finfet technology. In China it comes with 4gb or 6gb Ram and 64gb or 128gb options but globally they might launch only 4gb Ram and 64gb Rom variant. It comes with 3500mAh Battery with support for Quick Charge 2.0. Now let's talk about Cameras, the dual rear cameras comes with Zeiss optics the first sensor is of 12MP with f1.8 aperture with 1.4 micron pixel size and the second sensor is of 13MP for depth sensing. The camera sensor used is Sony IMX 363. It comes with 20MP Selfie camera with f 2.0 aperture.
Review:- The Display is very good but not the best that i've seen. Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 is a great midrange chip it has AI built in which is a great thing. It had launched in China with Android Oreo but when launched globally it will come with Android Pie Out of the box. The Ram management has been improved and is quite decent as well. The sound output from speaker and headphones is Okish not that great. The Battery Backup is good and if you are a heavy user then it will easily last you a day. The Rear Cameras perform excellent and front camera is good as well, you can click good portrait pictures with both rear and front cameras. Nokia has added many features in Camera which include live bokeh, pro mode, 4k support and EIS. You can record normal videos at 4k and Slow motion videos at1080p and 120fps. Video stabilization is good. It supports AI camera and Google lens. The EIS works quite well. Its DRM status is L1 meaning you can view Full HD and HDR videos on online video streaming services. Face Unlock works very well and so does Fingerprint scanner, both are fast and responsive. I was able to Play PUBG at high settings without any issues and there are no heating issues as well. PUBG automatically recommended to play on high graphic settings. You don't get UFS 2.0 Storage which is not a good thing considering the price. I got Geek  benchmark score of 1850 which is very close to Google Pixel 2. When it comes to Laptops and Computers many people love using Windows and Mac OS on  these devices over Chrome OS. Because of this reason Google came up with the idea of Fuchsia OS.  Fuchsia OS will work on Smartphones and Computers. It will cover all devices like Computers, Laptos, Tablets, Smartphones and Televisions(maybe or may not be) . Basically Google is trying to build an Eco system of connected devices.  Fuchsia OS is a new operating system which is being developed by Google to get rid of the limitations of Android.
